Oct 28, 2011 (newstodate): As the deadline for filing proposals to operate domestic routes in Norway with state subventions expired on October 25, eight airlines had presented their offers.
A total of 19 routes are comprised tender, with start of operations from April 1, 2012 and running for four and five years, respectively.
The bidders are Svenska Direktlyg AB, NextJet AB, AVIES AS, Helitrans AS, Wideroes' Flyveselskab A/S, UAB DOT LT, and Danish Air Transport A/S.
No date for publishing the results of the tender has been announced.
-Hopefully, the decision will be published well before the end of December 2011, granting us reasonable time to announce the necessary staff adjustments in accordance with the existing rules in the labor market without extra cost penalties, says one of the airlines participating in the tender.
