Feb 18, 2011 (newstodate): Sweden's new ACMI and charter operations provider under formation, Swedish Moose is eagerly awaiting the granting of its AOC.
According to the Swedish Transport Agency's Civil Aviation Department, the process towards issuing the AOC is some 70 percent finished.
-There a still some snags and issues remaining, but basically the process is on tracks, and I expect Swedish Moose to go live in the first half of this year, says Daniel Lundberg, Swedish Moose managing director.
-Crews and aircraft are in place, and we have contracts from our first customers on the desk. So we are well-prepared to lift off immediately once the AOC has been obtained, says Mr Lundberg.
The airline, to be based at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, will launch operations with one Airbus A320 aircraft.
