May 26, 2011 (newstodate): New in Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport will be the Iraqi carrier Al-Naser Airlines.
Starting on June 16, 2011, the carrier will launch flights between Stockholm and Erbil, in Iraqi Kurdistan, offering two weekly rotations on behalf of the Swedish travel agency Fly Stockholm that has earlier operated similar flights with a variety of Swedish and foreign carriers.
Based at Baghdad, Iraq, Al-Naser Airlines obtained its Iraqi AOC in 2009 and now operates a fleet of five Boeing 737 aircraft of various types, and one Boeing 767-200 aircraft.
The carrier already serves Dusseldorf and London with flights and is Iraq's 2nd designated carrier, after Iraqi Airways.
