Jun 24, 2011 (newstodate): The Latvian GSA provider, Sky High Agency is now operating in the Finnish market with an own subsidiary since June 1, 2011.
-We provide sales and marketing for the Belarus carrier Belavia that launched flights between Minsk and Helsinki, Finland, from the same date, but even before that that we introduced road feeder services on the route Helsinki-Riga-Minsk, says Agris Sedolins, Sky High managing director & owner.
-With the new Belavia flights into Helsinki we can now provide the Finnish market with fast flown cargo services, while the road feeder service allows us to sell also larger shipments than those accomocated on Belavia's CRJ200 flights.
-We are of course still in the early stage here in the Finnish market, but we are already seeing a clear demand for uplift of shipments of pharmaceutical products and spares, so we expect the development of sales to gain pace especially after the end of the coming weak summer season, says Mr Sedolins.
Sky High Agency was set up in the Baltic cargo GSA market by the start of 2010 with the Belarus carrier Belavia, operating between Minsk and Riga, as its launch customer.
