Aug 12, 2011 (newstodate): UTair-Ukraine, a subsidiary of Russia's UTair Aviation, is taking in more ATR 42-300 aircraft.
Two ATR-42 aircraft have been transferred from the mother company UTair to the Ukrainian subsidiary and are now on Ukrainean registry.
A third ATR-42 is expected to follow shortly, bring the total of the type to five aircraft.
In the fleet of UTair-Ukraine is also one Boeing 737-400 used on charter operations, while the ATR-42 aircraft are operating on domestic routes as well as on routes from several cities in Ukraine to Moscow.
UTair-Ukraine is based at Luhansk Airport, and besides operating at a low cost base, the carrier also adds the further benefit for UTair of being able to operate under Ukraine's horizontal air services agreement with EU allowing for free access to EU markets.
