Sep 19, 2011 (newstodate): Denmark's regional aircraft leasing company Nordic Aviation Capital has increased its fleet of ATR-72 aircraft.
NAC has purchased five ATR 72-500 from China Southern Airlines for allocation to another operator, yet undisclosed.
In another deal, NAC has also purchased one ATR-42 aircraft formerly operated by Macair Airlines of Australia.
NAC, based at Billund Airport, Denmark, is the world's largest turboprop leasing company with a current portfolio of more than 160 aircraft, including 91 ATR aircraft, on lease to airlines including American Airlines, Lufthansa, US Airways, SAS, Flybe, airBaltic, Wideroe and other major regional carriers.
