Jan 31, 2012 (newstodate): The Kazakh carrier Air Astana has grown its fleet of Boeing 757 aircraft.
In January, the carrier took delivery of its fifth Boeing 757-200 aircraft on an operating lease agreement.
The first Boeing 757-200 aircraft was received in 2003, and the latest aircraft delivered is now in operational service on routes within Kazakhstan, the CIS and internationally.
In 2012, Air Astana plans to take delivery of three Embraer 190 aircraft in addition to three aircraft already in the fleet, as well as six new Airbus A319 aircraft, to be fully owned by the carrier.
