Nov 05, 2012 (newstodate): The Kazakh carrier Air Astana has taken delivery of its first company-owned Embraer 190 aircraft.
Fresh from the factory, the aircraft has now landed at Astana Airport and is now in the process of safety inspection, mandatory customs clearance and other formal procedures before entering service wit the carrier.
The aircraft is the first of two under an order signed with Embraer in September 2011, and Air Astana is already operating four similar aircraft on a lease contract with Jetscape.
The order in September 2011 also comprises purchase rights for a further two similar aircraft.
