Dec 04, 2012 (newstodate): Lithuanian provider of aircraft maintenance and repair services FL Technics and Ariana Afghan Airlines have signed a LoI to develop a long-term strategic cooperation.
As a first project covered by the LoI, FL Technics will establish a number of line stations in Afghanistan, operating in strict compliance with EASA regulations.
Plans are to launch the first station at Kabul International Airport in March 2013, with EASA-certified technical specialists to provide line maintenance services for third-party airlines.
It is also planned that through the alliance FL Technics may expand its activities to other Afghan airports as well as provide Ariana Afghan Airlines with a wider range of services, including base maintenance, engine management and engineering support.
