Mar 22, 2012 (newstodate): By the end of this month, SAS is adding flights to two new destinations in Eastern Europe.
From March 25, 2012, the carrier will offer flights from Copenhagen Airport to Katowice, Poland, followed by the opening on March 26, 2012, of flights on the route between Copenhagen Airport and Kaliningrad Khabrovo Airport, both routes served with Bombardier CRJ200 or CRJ900 aircraft.
With these two new routes, SAS will have 112 weekly rotations on routes from Scandinavia to 10 destinations in the Baltics, Poland and Russia.
Katowice is entirely new on the route map of SAS, while Kaliningrad was served for eight years until 2001.
Kaliningrad will be the third Russian destinations served by the carrier, alongside Moscow and St Petersburg, and with the addition of the new flights to Kaliningrad, SAS will have 35 weekly rotations between Scandinavia and Russia.
