Apr 13, 2012 (newstodate): Thai Airways is opening new freighter flights between India and Europe.
On April 12, 2012, the carrier launched services on their first Indian freighter route from Hyderabad, flying in from Bangkok and continuing to Frankfurt.
From the start, the service will be offered once weekly, but plans are to increase frequency as warranted by the market.
Starting by May 2012, Thai Cargo will also launch a new freighter service from Bangkok to Chennai, continuing to Amsterdam.
Driving the new freighter services are increasing exports from India to Europe comprising shipments of pharmaceuticals, electronic components, fresh fruits, flowers and textile from different regions across India and consolidated at Hyderabad and Chennai airports.
