Nov 12, 2013 (newstodate): Taking effect from November 1, 2013, the Russian carrier Rossiya Airlines has named Euro GSA Scandinavia its cargo GSA in the Swedish market.
-Rossiya Airlines is offering four weekly rotations between St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport and Stockholm Arlanda Airport, using Boeing 737 aircraft on the route, says Gert Mortensen, Euro GSA Scandinavia managing director.
-We are now testing out the service with a launch customer and expect to be able to announce the full opening of the services within a few weeks from now.
-Due to the specific conditions in the Russian market we offer only point-to-point services as all cargo entering the Russian border must go through customs clearance, including also shipments that are actually destined for other destinations in Russia and the CIS region.
Part of the Euro GSA Group with headquarters in the Netherlands, Euro GSA Scandinavia with offices in Malmo, Sweden, was set up from June 1, 2007, managed by Gert Mortensen.
Rossiya Airlines is the company's first on-line GSA client, but Euro GSA Scandinavia is also selling capacity on China Cargo Airlines that operates out of Copenhagen Airport.
The main business is thus a range of off-line carriers in Scandinavia including Aerolineas Cargo, Rus Aviation, Skylease, Thomas Cook UK, and Yangtze River.
