Feb 06, 2013 (newstodate): Finnair Cargo is planning for a year of continued expansion including the opening of a new European freighter hub at Brussels as well as launch of two new freighter services.
As announced earlier this year and starting from April 2013, Finnair Cargo will open Brussels Zaventem Airport as its new freighter hub in Continental Europe to complement the service via Finnair's home hub at Helsinki Airport.
The Brussels freighter hub with open up with weekly MD-11 freighter services connecting Brussels with New York JFK, Chicago O'Hare and Finnair's Helsinki hub with non-stop freighter flights connecting with the carrier's Asian traffic.
So far no exact launch dates for these new activities have been announced.
