May 13, 2013 (newstodate): Hungary's Budapest Airport, presently hosting Routes 2013, is seeing more and more traffic returning since the demise of its national carrier, Malev.
Latest newcomer at the airport will be the Bulgarian carrier Bulgaria Air that will launch services four times weekly from June 24, 2013, using Embraer 190 or Airbus A319 aircraft on the route, depending on booking figures.
So far planned for summer operations only, the routes will be maintained also in the coming winter schedule if warranted by the market demands.
Also returning to Budapest is the Russian carrier UTAir that is now offering twice-weekly rotations on the route from St Petersburg using Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
In April 2013, SAS returned to the airport with two routes - one from Oslo, in Norway, and another from Copenhagen, Denmark, with three and six weekly rotations, respectively.
