May 08, 2013 (newstodate): Things are changing fast at Finnair Cargo: the company has now suspended the freighter services between Brussels and Chicago, launched only from April 6, 2013.
Instead, the capacity will be relocated to Asia from May 12, 2013, as the MD-11F freighter, operated by Nordic Global Airlines, will return directly to Helsinki from Brussels on Sundays, connecting Brussels to Finnair's Asian network - including the direct freighter connections to Hong Kong and Mumbai.
Finnair Cargo will thus offer two freighter services from Brussels via Helsinki to Asia, on Saturdays and Sundays, respectively.
Besides, the company is offering a freighter service to Brussels via Helsinki from Asia and from New York to Brussels on Fridays and Sundays, respectively.
-This new Sunday service will greatly improve our product, offering Saturday and Sunday departures from Brussels to connect with our Asian flights, and offering direct freighter capacity on Saturdays to Hong Kong and on Sundays to Mumbai, says Juha Jrvinen, Finnair Cargo managing director.
