May 08, 2013 (newstodate): Only four out of 10 IATA carriers managed to grow their cargo volumes in Sweden through March 2013.
Performing the strongest was #2 on the Top-10 list, Lufthansa Cargo that increased its volumes by 52 percent, y-o-y, to 1,058 tonnes.
Growing second-strongest was #6, Air China Cargo, up 33.5 percent, y-o-y, to 602 tonnes, followed by #8, Singapore Airlines Cargo with 395 tonnes, up 12.8 percent.
Finally #3, Emirates that was up 9.8 percent to 778 tonnes in March 2013.
On the darker side #10, Martinair was down 44.2 percent to 310 tonnes, while #9, Thai also fell short by 22.7 percent to 362 tonnes.
Overall, SAS Cargo took the lead in the Swedish IATA export airfreight market in March with 1,411 tonnes, albeit declining three percent, y-o-y.
A total of 8,676 tonnes of IATA export airfreight was generated in Sweden, down 3.5 percent.
