jun 05, 2013 (newstodate): Airbus has now published the names of the crew to man the Airbus A350 on its virgin flight, soon to take place.
Three men will be in the cockpit, and another three, all of them Experimental Flight Test Engineers, will be working at dedicated flight test stations and managing the progress of the flight profile.
In the cockpit will be test pilots Peter Chandler, Chief Test Pilot since 2011, and Guy Magrin, Project Pilot for the A350 XWB, as well as Pascal Verneau, A350 XWB Project Test Flight Engineer.
In the cabin will be Fernando Alonso, Head of Airbus Flight & Integration Test Centre, Patrick du Ch�, Head of Development Flight Tests, and Emanuele Constanzo, lead Flight Test Engineer for the Trent XWB engine.
The first Airbus A350 is now performing runway tests prior to the first flight, due to be announced soon.
