Jul 26, 2013 (newstodate): In June 2013, SAS Cargo managed to top the list of IATA carriers as to export cargo in two out of three Scandinavian markets.
In Denmark, SAS Cargo generated a total of 1,025 tonnes of cargo in June, an increase by 1.4 percent, y-o-y, in a market that was over-all down 18.6 percent.
In Sweden, where the market dipped by 7.1 percent, SAS Cargo's volumes dropped by 11.8 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 1,286 tonnes.
Less positive was the development in the Norwegian IATA export cargo market where SAS Cargo sold 609 tonnes after dropping 17.1 percent, y-o-y, against an over-all market growth by eight percent.
In the Nordic scene, SAS Cargo sold only 94 tonnes of export cargo in Finland after dropping 34.6 percent against the over-all market decline by 12.4 percent, y-o-y.
SAS Cargo was ranked 9th on Finland's IATA cargo Top-10 list.
As for market shares in June 2013, SAS Cargo thus held 17.4 percent of the Danish IATA cargo market, 16.5 percent in Sweden, 6.6 percent in Norway and only three percent in Finland.
