In North America, Iceland is now to cooperate with Porter Airlines, based in Toronto, Canada, and operating flights to some 20 destinations in Canada and the U.S..
In Russia, Icelandair is now to code-share flights with the St Petersburg-based carrier Rossiya that offers onward connections for Icelandair passengers to a wide network of destinations in Russia.
Finally, Icelandair has also inked a code-share agreement with Air Greenland offering onward flights to destinations in Greenland.
Icelandair is already code-sharing with airlines including Finnair, SAS, Alaska Airlines, JetBlue, Frontier, and WestJet.
Icelandair now operates from Keflavik International Airport to Toronto and Halifax in Canada and nine US destinations.
The carrier launched flights to St Petersburg, its first Russian destination, from this year's summer schedule, with two weekly flights from Keflavik between June 1 and September 17, 2012.
