Sep 25, 2013 (newstodate): After a strong positive growth in cargo volumes in 2012, Finland's Helsinki Vantaa Airport is seeing less promising trends in 2013.
In 2012, the airport's volumes were up by 12.8 percent, y-o-y, to 192,504 tonnes, including 188,526 tonnes of international cargo that increased by 12.7 percent.
But in January-August 2013, the total volumes were down two percent, y-o-y, to 125,310 tonnes, including 119,105 tonnes of international cargo that was down by 0.6 percent, y-o-y.
So far, volumes have been below 2012-levels in four out of eight months in 2014, with Q1 213 faring the worst.
