Dec 01, 2014 (newstodate): Isavia, the operator of Icelands main airport and transatlantic hub, Keflavik International, has invited six pre-qualified parties to participate in a closed design contest for a 2015-2040 Masterplan for the airport.
The six participants in the design contest are INECO Ingenierta Y Economia del Transporte SA in Spain, Ramboll A/S in Denmark, Naco Netherlands Airport Consultants in the Netherlands, Nordic - Office of Arthitecture in Norway, EC Harris LLP in Great Britain, and Mott MacDonald LTD in Great Britain.
The selection of a consultant or a group of consultants to undertake the development of the Masterplan will be completed by February 2, 2015.
An important factor in the design process will be the optimization of the airport's functionality and performance without challenging environmental standards.
The completion date for the 2015-2040 Keflavik International Airport Masterplan has been set at September 25, 2015.
