Mar 14, 2014 (newstodate): Long rumored, Emirates has now confirmed its long-awaited start of services on a new route to Oslo, Norway.
The carrier will perform its launch flight between Dubai and Oslo on September 2, 2014, offering daily services with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Opening the route to Norway, Emirates is thus to round-off its comprehensive service to all three Scandinavian capitals.
Emirates first launched flights to Scandinavia with a route between Dubai and Copenhagen from August 1, 2011.
Next, starting from September 4, 2013, the Gulf carrier introduced flights on its second Scandinavian route between Dubai and Stockholm, Sweden.
Offering a cargo capacity at 23 tonnes per flight, Emirates will also attract further loads of Norwegian seafood exports.
Selling Emirates SkyCargo in all four Nordic markets is the Danish cargo GSSA Scanpartners.
