Sep 19, 2014 (newstodate): Copenhagen, in Denmark, may become a destination on Montenegro Airlines' first intra-EU route.
According to Balkan media, the carrier is considering adding new routes between destinations in EU countries, with flights on a route from Montenegrine destinations Podgorica or Tivat via Zagreb in Croatia to Copenhagen as a first option.
Montenegro's government has decided to make another effort to privatize the state-owned carrier in 2014, after earlier unsuccessful tenders in 2010 and 2012.
Montenegro Airlines already operates seasonal flights from Podgorica to Copenhagen, the airlines' only Scandinavian destination, during the period May 17-October 4, 2014.
