Nov 02, 2015 (newstodate): Billund Airport managed to break a sustained period of cargo decline by seeing growth in both import and export volumes in October 2015.
In October the airport thus handled a total of 5,507 tonnes of cargo which was 5.1 percent up on last year.
Totals included 1,827 tonnes of imports, up 7.5 percent, and 3,680 tonnes of exports, also up 3.9 percent, y-o-y.
By the end of October 2015 the airport has thus handled 52,806 tonnes of cargo which is still 0.2 percent below 2014, including 17,955 tonnes of imports, down 8.4 percent, and 34,851 tonne of exports which is 4.5 percent more than in 2014.
