Feb 23, 2015 (newstodate): The British carrier and capacity provider Flybe has now secured the aircraft to be used on flights on behalf of SAS from Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
The six-year contract between the two carriers was signed in November 2014, comprising flights on routes and frequencies from Arlanda where SAS sees a need for smaller aircraft to match customer demand.
Flybe will need four ATR 72-600 aircraft that have now been acquired on a lease contract with Aviation Plc and to be placed on Flybe's AOC.
The first two ATR72-600 aircraft will be in place by October 2015, with the remaining two to follow by March 2016.
The scope of the agreement can be extended with an additional four aircraft to be brought into service as required.
SAS' contract with Flybe replaces SAS' contract with Jet Time covering four CRJ200 aircraft.
