Feb 06, 2015 (newstodate): The Nordic express delivery company Jetpak is taking a further step in its coverage of the western part of Denmark, the Jutland peninsula.
The latest new addition to the services is the opening of a Jetpak station at Aarhus, Denmark's second-largest city, following on the opening in January 2014 of a similar station at Billund Airport.
-We are not yet fully in place, waiting for the painting of the dedicated Jetpak vehicles that will be operated by a franchise partner in the region. But everything will be in place within only a few months and operations have already started, says Michael Hovgaard Poulsen, Jetpak Denmark country Manager.
-With the opening of Jetpak in Aarhus we have scrapped earlier plans for setting up a station at Karup, also in mid-Jutland, and shipments to and from customers in Jutland will thus be handled either at Billund or Aarhus.
-There is one yet-unsolved problem with Aarhus Airport, though: the airport has not been approved for screening of outgoing shipments due to lack of staff with pertinent training and certificates. At his stage, all outgoing shipments will thus still go through the airports of Billund or Aalborg, says Mr Hougaard Poulsen.
