Apr 08, 2015 (newstodate): The future of TNT Airways is now in focus as FedEX and TNT have agreed on terms for the acquisition of TNT Express from the Dutch postal company PostNL pending clearance of any potential anti-trust issues by the regulators.
Under EU regulations, FedEx, being a non-EU company, can operate only one airline in Europe and must therefore sell off TNT Airways.

In the fleet of TNT Express are now 32 freighter aircraft operated by a variety of ACMI providers including Iceland's Bluebird Cargo and Icelandair, and in addition TNT Express has also sourced freighters to operate on their behalf, including aircraft from the Danish carrier Jet Time.
