Sep 18, 2015 (newstodate): Iceland is seeing more and more scheduled traffic to Keflavik Airport.
Latest news is the opening of flights by Wizz Air from Warsaw, in Poland, to Keflacvik Airport starting from May 13, 2016, with two weekly rotations using Airbus A320 aircraft.
The new route, one among a total of four new routes by Wizz Air from Warsaw, comes as the carrier expands its activities at Warsaw by stationing a sixth Airbus aircraft at the airport.
Wizz Air already operates flights to Iceland from Gdansk with two weekly flights from June 19, 2015, and rapidly being increased to three weekly rotations.
Wizz Air thus became the first airline to offer direct air connections between Iceland and Poland.
