Sep 25, 2015 (newstodate): The Icelandic travel agency Trans Atlantic has signed a LoI with Estonian Air concerning new flights from next summer between Iceland and Denmark.
If realized, plans are that Estonian Air will provide a weekly rotation from May till September 2016 between Akureyri and Copenhagen Airport with Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft.
A final decision will be made only in December 2015 after monitoring the market response to the new offering.
And if the response turns into sufficient bookings, the offering may even be extenxced to two weekly rotations.
Located on Iceland's northern coast, Akureyri Airport has one 2,400m runway supporting mainly seasonal traffic.
