Mar 15, 2016 (newstodate): Sweden's Stockholm Airport has now got its second direct air link to Los Angeles.
With the first flight on the route from Stockholm on March 14, 2016, the Scandinavian carrier SAS is now offering year-round daily flights on the route operated with a mix of Airbus A330 and Airbus A340 aircraft until mid-April when the route will be operated solely with Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
SAS last served Los Angeles with flights from Copenhagen, Denmark, until 1994.
Already flying on the same route since March, 2013, is Norwegian, offering three weekly seasonal rotations with Boeing 787 aircraft from March 29 to October 27, 2016.
