Aug 01, 2016 (newstodate): Good news from Denmark's Billund Airport: rise in cargo volumes in July, both exports and imports.
With total volumes at 5,471 tonnes up eight percent, y-o-y, in July 2016, export volumes that have so far been trailing behind were rising even more by 8.3 percent to 3,706 tonnes, while imports were also up by 7.2 percent, y-o-y, to 1,765 tonnes.
During the seven months of this year, the airport has thus handled 36,546 tonnes of cargo, still down 0.89 percent, y-o-y, including 23,756 tonnes of exports, down 2.3 percent, and 12,790 tonnes of imports, up 2.2 percent.
On the passenger side, the airport also saw a new monthly record in July 2016 when 403,610 passengers passed through Billund Airport, an increase by 3.4 percent, y-o-y-, and the first time the airport exceeded the 400,000 passenger mark!
