Sep 13, 2016 (newstodate): The UK carrier Monarch Airlines is adding a Scandinavian destination to its route network from summer 2017.
With the first flights on April 28, 2017, the carrier will launch services on a route to be served three times weekly from Birmingham to Stockholm Arlanda Airport, as well as from London Luton to Stockholm Arlanda two times weekly, and from Manchester to Stockholm Arlanda three times per week.
All flights will be performed with Airbus A320/321 aircraft.
With headquarters at London Luton Airport, Monarch Airlines was earlier offering long-haul and charter flights but introducing a new strategy in 2014 turned into a purely low-cost carrier ending all long-haul and charter operations from May 2015.
