Oct 12, 2017 (newstodate): The new Cypriot carrier Cobalt Air will touch down at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport on October 29, 2017, on its first flight to Russia.
Cobalt Air will offer two weekly rotations using Airbus A320 Family aircraft on the route from Paphos Airport to Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport as part of its Winter 2017 schedule, and plans are also to add flights to St Petersburg at a later date.
Based at Larnaca International Airport, the carrier was granted an AOC on May 18, 2016, and performed its first commercial flight on July 7, 2016.
Further down the road, Cobalt Air plans to acquire two Airbus A330-200 aircraft to start long- haul flights to China, South Africa and the US by September 2018.
