Oct 23, 2017 (newstodate): A "new" carrier, yet to be named, will supposedly take the position as Russia's 10th largest airline later this year.
The coming new airline will be the result of the planned merger between Russian carriers Nordavia operating a fleet of nine aircraft, formerly named Aeroflot-Nord, and Red Wings with 12 aircraft that are today the country's 17th and 13th largest airlines, respectively.
The airlines are already cooperating but through a merger they will gain in operational efficiency and will also streamline their route networks as well as work towards a unified aircraft fleet.
