Oct 13, 2017 (newstodate): Ukraine International Airlines has decided on the purchase of new, larger aircraft for its intercontinental routes.
The carrier will start adding four ex-Air India Boeing 777 aircraft to its fleet from 2018.
The new aircraft will gradually replace the existing fleet of four Boeing 767 aircraft from 2019 and allow UIA to launch new intercontinental routes to destinations including Toronto and Shanghai.
The first two Boeing 676-300ER aircraft were earlier serving with SAS and acquired on a lease contract with the Scandinavian investor Nordea Leasing in 2002 and 2004, respectively.
