Nov 23, 2017 (newstodate): Lithuania's Vilnius Airport is seeing some growth in cargo in 2017.
In October, the airport handled a total of 985 tonnes of cargo including 174 tonnes of mail, and this was an increase by 22.85 percent, y-o-y.
During the first 10 months of 2017, the airport has thus been handling a total of 7,679 tonnes of cargo and mail, which is five percent up on last year.
July and August were, however, low on cargo that dropped by 50.67 and 43.79 percent, respectively, as the airport was closed for operations due to runway renovation works.
Apart from this, the airport has actually seen two-digit increases in volumes for seven out of 10 months.
