Nov 03, 2017 (newstodate): The Latvian charter and ACMI carrier SmartLynx has landed a fresh customer in the Gulf region: Wataniya Airways.
The carrier, based in Kuwait, will take in one Airbus A320 aircraft on an ACMI wet-lease agreement with SmartLynx running till March 31, 2018.
Wataniya Airways will deploy the aircraft on routes from Kuwait to to destinations in the Middle East and Europe starting from November 5, 2017.
Since this summer, Wataniya Airways operating a fleet of two Airbus A320 aircraft serves a route network comprising destinations Beirut, Luxor, Tbilisi, Baku, Sarajevo, Bahrain, Sohag and Najaf, and plans are to add a further up to 10 new destinations.
In the fleet of SmartLynx are 12 Airbus A320 aircraft and two Airbus 321 aircraft
