Nov 22, 2017(newstodate): The Russian carrier S7 Sibir Airlines is rapidly expanding its route network with new European destinations.
As earlier reported, and starting from June 2, 2018, the carrier will launch flights between St Petersburg and Stockholm offering two weekly rotations using Embraer E170 aircraft on the route served twice-weekly.
Prior to that, the carrier announced the start of services on a similar seasonal route to Copenhagen, Denmark, from June 2 till September 29, 2018, also to be served twice-weekly with Embraer E170 aircraft.
The route to Copenhagen is one of a spree of new route openings by S7 that plans to launch services from St Petersburg to Innsbruck, Lyon, Turin, Verona and Salzburg in winter 2017/2018, and also to Alicante, Pisa and Pula in summer 2018.
S7 Airlines will also launch operations on the route from Moscow Domodedovo Airport to Keflavik Airport starting from June 9, 2018, with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The airline is now also to add frequency on its flights since 2010 between Novosibirsk and Prague with one more rotation using Airbus A320neo from April 20, 2018.
