Latest news is the decision by American Airlines to launch flights on a new route connecting Dallas and Keflavik, with the first flight on June 7, in a program running till October 27, 2018, the end of the summer schedule, and offering a daily rotation with Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
American Airlines will then become the third operator on the route after Icelandair that will be offering three weekly rotations from May 18, 2018 with Boeing 757-200 aircraft, and WOW from May 23, 2018, also with three weekly rotations using Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
American Airlines will also become the third US carrier to include flights to Iceland alongside Delta Air Lines with seasonal flights from New York JFK and United Airlines with seasonal flights from New York Newark.
