Nov 27, 2017 (newstodate): Since June 2, 2008, TNT Sweden has been operating its regional hub at Jonkoping Airport in southern Sweden - and both parties are happy with the cooperation.
In addition to four weekly nightly rotations at Jonkoping Airport, TNT also trucks significant and growing volumes of cargo at the airport, making it the airport's single largest cargo customer alongside time:matters and DAN'X.
-We are indeed very happy with TNT at Jonkoping Airport. We are however convinced that volumes could grow even higher if more aircraft capacity was thrown in, either by larger freighters or with more frequencies, says Herman Larsson, Jonkoping Airport Marketing Manager.
More aircraft capacity by TNT is, however, not on the horizon.
-There are no plans on the current agenda for an increase in the traffic or a larger aircraft type by TNT, says Claus Juhl, TNT Regional Operations Manager TNT NightExpress.
-Having said that, I can only express our deep satisfaction with the operation at Jonkoping Airport. Operations are smooth, cooperation with the airport is exemplary, and we are impressed by the ever positive and attentive attitude to our requests and needs.
-I actually consider the management and staff at Jonkoping Airport to be our partners, rather than merely providers of services. And any future expansion of TNT's activities at the airport would indeed be welcomed by me as well, says Mr Juhl.
