Dec 07, 2017 (newstodate): The Estonian regional freighter capacity provider Airest has signed up for delivery of up to four new converted CRJ200 SF freighter aircraft equipped with large cargo door.
The aircraft are acquired on a lease contract with US aircraft supplier Regional One, initially comprising one first aircraft but aiming at taking up to four aircraft after conversion.
The aircraft is currently under conversion by Commercial Jets facility and will be re-delivered to Regional Jet in April 2018, making this carrier the first in Europe to operate this aircraft that will have the capacity of lifting up to 6.7 tonnes of cargo.
Based at Tallinn Airport, Airest operates a fleet comprising nine SAAB 340 aircraft including one aircraft in cargo configuration, and one Bombardier CRJ200SF.
