Dec 21, 2017 (newstodate): Already the 2nd largest carrier at Helsinki Airport in terms of operations, Norwegian is poised for further growth in Finland in 2018.
Starting from the summer 2018 schedule on March 25, 2018, the carrier will be adding more flights from Helsinki Airport to a range of leisure destinations in Greece, Italy, Croatia, Kosovo and Bulgaria.
Frequencies on routes to Pristina, Athens, Crete, Venice, Burgas, Varna, and Pula will rise to two weekly rotations, and to up to four weekly rotations on the route to Dubrovnik, resulting in an overall increase by 15 percent in summer 2018.
In April 2010, Norwegian started operating flights to Helsinki from Stockholm and Oslo, bolstering its presence in the market by setting up an operational base at Helsinki Airport from spring 2011.
