Feb 16, 2017 (newstodate): While several airlines are still cautious about fully reviving earlier traffic to Russia, one Turkish carrier is upbeat about prospects for a rise in passenger volumes on Russian routes in 2017.
The Turkish LCC Onur Air is one example, announcing plans for start of flights to 12 cities in Russia from Istanbul and Antalya by the start of the coming summer 2017 schedule.
In addition to its existing flight operations to Nalchik in Russia, Onur Air will start to operate scheduled flights to Grozny from Istanbul as of March 26, and to Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara and Volgograd from Istanbul as of May 1.
Starting from April 28, 2017, Onur Air will also launch services from Antalya to Russian destinations Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Kazan, Moscow, Perm, Rostov, Samara and St Petersburg.
Onur Air operates a fleet comprising 14 Airbus A320 Family and nine Airbus A330 aircraft.
