Mar 27, 2017 (newstodate): Seen from Lithuania, the Latvian carrier seems to have an unstable love for Paris..
Heralding the start of this year's summer schedule, airBaltic is once again commencing flights to Paris from Vilnius, in Lithuania, offering four weekly rotations on the route from March 26, 2017.
This marks yet another return to the route after its earlier opening on from September 3, 2015, as airBaltic stepped in to fill the void left by Air Lituanica that folded its wings on May 22, 2015.
This service was, however, later suspended again, as was the case as airBaltic earlier launched flights on the route from Vilnius to Paris starting on December 18, 2009, and served three times weekly.
Until 2011, airBaltic was building up its own network of flights from Vilnius comprising flights to Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, London, Munich, Paris, Riga, Rome, Dublin, Hamburg, Stockholm and Oslo but retreated due to increased competition and a change of strategy.
