Mar 14, 2017 (newstodate): Airbus deliveries to Iran are shaping up albeit at a rather slow pace.
But after the first delivery of one Airbus A321 in January 2017, the second aircraft, an Airbus A330-200 was delivered on March 10, 2017 - and a third aircraft is now being readied.
This concerns another Airbus A330-200, originally earmarked for Avianca Brazil which was also the case with the first A330-200.
The third aircraft has now left the paint shop prior to the imminent hand-over to Iran Air.
According to the delivery schedule earlier announced, by 2024 all 45 A320, 45 A330, 16 A350 and 12 A380 would be delivered by 2024.
Later, Iran Air however stepped down from its orders for Airbus A380 aircraft.
