Mar 24, 2017 (newstodate): Emirates SkyCargo is now phasing out its Boeing 474-400F freighters, citing waning demand in the market for the large freighter aircraft.
The two aircraft have been operated by Emirates SkyCargo on a lease agreement with ASL Airlines Belgium and will be redelivered in June 2017.
In July 2006, the company placed orders with Boeing for 10 Boeing 747-8F aircraft, but in November 2011 five of the 747-8 freighters orders were converted them to 777 Freighters, and in December 2012, the company cancelled the remaining five 747-8F deliveries.
Instead, Emirates SkyCargo is focusing on the Boeing 777F, of which 13 are now operated on a lease from Dubei Aerospace Enterprise.
