Mar 27, 2017 (newstodate): After a long period of waiting, Gothenburg, in Sweden, will soon get its direct air link to Estonia back .
Starting from August 28, 2017, the Estonian carrier Nordica will launch flights on the route between Tallinn, in Estonia, and Gothenburg with a CRJ900 aircraft with a daily rotation.
The coming new flights are actually a successor to the earlier services provided by the now-defunct carrier Estonian Air that launched flights on the route from February 1, 2013, with four weekly rotations also using CRJ900 aircraft, but folded its wings in 2015.
Estonian earlier served the route in 2004/2005, but pulled out from March 2, 2005, after only six months of service with Boeing 737-500 aircraft citing insufficient passenger sales as the background of the decision.
Later, the Swedish airline that also went out of service in 2012, City Airline opened flights on the same route from March 26, 2007, but also failed to keep in the air.
