Apr 07, 2017 (newstodate): The Danish cargo carrier, part of the AP Moller-Maersk Group, Star Air is adding another Boeing 767-300 converted freighter to its fleet.
First operated by Japan Airlines from 2007 and later by various Latin American carriers, the Boeing 767-300ER freighter is an element in Star Air's planned upgrading of the carrier's capacity as part of the ongoing 10-year contract with its main customer, UPS.
In Star Air's fleet based at Cologne Airport are now 11 Boeing 767-200SF converted freighters and one Boeing 767-300 BCF aircraft.
The new Boeing 767-300 will enter service with Star Air by May 2017, bringing the number of aircraft in the fleet to 13.
After that, a third Boeing 767-300 freighter will be be delivered to replace one of the Boeing 767-200 aircraft now in the fleet.
