Apr 04, 2017 (newstodate): Finnair has now taken delivery of its 8th Airbus A350 aircraft.
The aircraft performed its first test flight on March 11, 2017, and left the Airbus factories for delivery today at Helsinki Vanta Airport.
Otherwise completed, Finnair A350 #9 is being re-worked for changed configuration with fewer business class and more economy class seats. Delivery is now slated for May 2017, and the carrier will receive a further two aircraft before the end of this year.
Finnair has placed orders for a total of 19 new A350-900 and received its first Airbus A350 aircraft from Airbus on October 7, 2015.
The largest operators of the Airbus A350 now are Qatar Airways with 16, Cathay Pacific with 13, and Singapore Airlines with 12 - followed by Finnair now with eight Airbus A350 aircraft.
