Apr 24, 2017 (newstodate): Finnair is keen to source increasing passenger streams in the Russian market to its Asian and European routes from Helsinki Airport.
The carrier has thus announced an increase in frequency on flights connecting St Petersburg and Helsinki, going up to three daily rotations allowing for efficient transfer options to and from its its network early morning and late evening, and Finnair estimates up to a nearly 40 percent rise in passenger volumes on the Helsinki-St Petersburg route with the increased frequency.
On June 2, 2008, Finnair started operations with a daily flight on the route between Helsinki and St Petersburg, adding a second daily flight from March 31, 2009.
